2. Consider credit monitoring or a credit freeze: You can get credit monitoring or a freeze on your credit directly from each of the 3 major credit bureaus - Equifaxtransunion and Experian.. You can also get credit monitoring independently from companies like MyFico.com, CreditKarma.com, CreditSesame.com etc.

3. Change any online passwords and pins associated your financial information
